@rockguitar1200 I'm atleast 5 hours drive from the nearest mountain, and it costs us 30$ to get on the mountain, and a further 100$ a day just for lift passes... Australia is a very hard place to go pro... :( But not matter how much it costs me, I am so glad I discovered this sport!

yo man, i grew up in michigan too, the U.P., so i know what you mean about crap hills, but anyways, a few tips. 1st, snowboard snowboard snowboard, the sponsors will come as riding improves, set small goals each day, 2nd get to know local reps & skateshop owners etc, who are involved in the snowboard industry - it's all about who you know, but don't forget your true friends. 3rd, save your cash and move to a good mountain, and don't forget to stay educated along the way.
