A journey from Baker Street into Metro-Land and beyond in to Aylesbury, with a side trip to Uxbridge. Starting with busy platform views and the departure of the electric service north, we are taken first through the dark cut-and-cover tunnels and stations typical of the early underground, then above ground at Finchley Road and out into the country.
Temporary signs have been placed to identify each station as it passes.

  • Fascinating views; when was this made? A lot of the earthworks look very new.

It would be really interesting to have a similar comparison view of the route as it is today.

  • What a lot of countryside! What a great little film.

  • Why is there not a shot of Rickmansworth Station?

  • Brilliant up. Thanks for not adding period music.

  • Just look at what we've ruined. What have we done.

  • Wow, this is fantastic! Thanks for uploading.
