Five Foot Two -- Vincent Johnson & Adam Swanson

A couple of teenagers take on the 1925 hit "Five Foot Two" composed by Ray Henderson.

Vincent is on the left piano; Adam is on the right.

Tom Warner wanted to play along with his muted trumpet, but the boys were playing in a key that was too difficult.

Of course, Murphy's Law, right as I stopped recording, Adam did in fact begin to play it in a different key, and they all went through the song again, this time with Tom able to join in better. If only I had hesitated on that stop button and kept rolling!

This was at half past midnight, technically on Monday, more than six hours after the 2009 West Coast Ragtime Festival had concluded. You can't have too much of a good thing, so the music kept coming...
