i have no proof of this.. but i have always thought that around this time,, or a time before this that napoleon contracted some disease. either a std or some type of social or stress disorder. he became very much not like himself. and this was the reason of the end. the man worked tirelessly hour after hour over the smallest detail of a small town, and now he could not handle the least of things, tho he still held alot of his elan, the greatness was gone, the TRUE greatness.,, just a theory
