Usually viruses are specific about what species of organisms they infect. In complex organisms such as animals (and humans) they also tend to be specific about what types of cells they infect (skin, nerve, lung, etc.)
Is that your lecture? Are the viruses first life forms that were on Earth? So there is a big difference between skin cells and lung sells, tell me more?
Maybe I missed this, but what cells in the body do the viruses take over? Do each virus take over specific cells or is it a random attack?
