After Nick and Kevin leave
Joe: wow an alcoholic
Selena: i know i never would have guessed, their family always seems so perfect
Joe: yeah....
With Nick and Kevin in Kevin's car driving home
Kevin: *grips the steering wheel tightly*
Nick: *glances over at him* so are you just never going to talk to me again
Kevin: I'm thinking about it
Nick: *sighs*
Kevin: You know what I don't get
Nick: what?
Kevin: why you would hurt dad like that, I only mean, through the divorce you were on his "side" so why hurt him now
Nick: *a tear trickles down his face and he looks out the window* I don't know...
(A/N Not so perfect anymore Selena)
With Joe and Selena sitting in their lounge room
the Blackwood's front door opens and their mother comes in looking frazzled from her day at work
BM(Blackwood mom): Oh hey sweethearts, how was your day
Selena: *glances at Joe* Eventful......
BM: *raises an eyebrow* Ok, well I'm going to make a stir fry for dinner, your welcome to help me...
Joe: Nah I'm good here thanks
BM: *sighs* well it was worth a try, Selena?
Selena: I'm going to go read
BM: Alright I'll call you when it's ready
*Selena goes upstairs and Joe follows her to her room (Selena and Joes bedrooms are in vid)*
Selena flops on her bed whilst Joe sits backwards on her desk chair
Selena: So should we keep it a secret at school
Joe: keep what a secret?
Selena: the whole Nick, drunk, dad, alcoholic thing
Joe: Yeah I guess so, Kevin didn't even want to tell us so I guess they wouldn't want the whole school to know
Selena: I guess not......I feel sorry for Nick
Joe: What?
Selena: well, it must be so hard going through all that and then having such big issues with your father that you subconsciously try and get revenge on him through his greatest weakness
Joe: Wow, you must have thought about that a lot
Selena: *blushes* maybe a little
Joe: *looks at her suspiciously* Do you like Nick Austin
Selena: *blushes harder* NO! ok, maybe, possibly, a little
Joe: *fakes shock* NO! REALLY?! I DON'T BELIEVE IT! MY SISTER IS IN LOVE WITH NICK AUSTIN!
Selena: *throws pillow at Joe* SHUT UP! I'm not in LOVE with him its just a crush so shut up!
Joe: *smirks* Sorry I just couldn't resist
Selena: *scowls* I'm going to clean up the pile of puke in your room
Joe: *smirk fades, high pitched voice* What! It didn't get on my barney blanket did it! *runs to his room*
Selena: *lays back on her bed* Ahhhh, revenge is sweet Joseph, revenge is sweet
With Nick and Kevin at the Austin household, Nick is in his room while Kevin is downstairs making dinner
The front door opens
AD(Austin Dad): Kevin?, Nick? Were home
Kevin: In here Dad
AD: *comes in with his arm around a woman* Hey Kevin, Where's Nick
Kevin: In his room, *lies* doing homework
AD: Ok, Well Kevin this is Susan, and Susan this is my elder son Kevin
Susan: *smiles* It's lovely to finally meet you
Kevin: *returns the smile* Likewise
AD: I will go get Nick
Kevin: NO! I mean he's got a test tomorrow and he really needs to study
AD: Ok well that's understandable, but he has to at least come down for five minutes to meet Susie
Kevin: Ok, I will get him
Kevin knocks on Nicks door
Kevin: Nick, you need to come meet Susan otherwise Dad will get suspicious
Nick: *opens door* I thought you weren't talking to me
Kevin: No I am not, but I will not sit back and watch your careless decisions destroy this family, or what's left of it
Nick: *thinks for a moment* Fine
Kevin: Come on
They go down stairs
AD: AH here he is, Susie this is my younger son Nick
Susan: *Puts out her hand* It's great to meet you Nick
Nick: *ignores the hand* Yeah...
AD: Well you better get back to all that studying, we want you to do well on the test
Nick: *raises eyebrows at Kevin, sarcastic* Yeah, its a big important test that id better get back to studying for
AD: Yes, you can go back to it now
Nick: *still sarcastic* Yeah, I'll get back to that *rolls eyes and leaves*
Kevin: *sighs*
