The final concept of „SVETOFOR" is occupied with three important main tasks: fluent flows of traffic, abolition of traffic lights, sign-posting and intelligent regulation of the traffic movements. This traffic system has a row of announcement devices, which help to improve the orientation on the big crossroads in the city.
The concept contains in the paving integrated luminous modules which symbolize an approach to the crossroad by a certain given distance. In the zone of 30 to 50 meters before the crossroad from two to three sequences of three modules are positioned. The distances within a sequence decrease to the crossroad.
The first row is positioned as a threshold easily about the street level to warn the driver that he approaches a crossroad and should reduce the speed to 30 km/h. While driving in the zone every single car is identified with the help of weighing machines to calculate the traffic on every driving lane. The driving lane with the thickest traffic current is preferred, so that vehicles must hold as little as possible.
The luminous modules signal the allowed speed. Every element meens 10 km/h, so that the speed of the vehicles driving in the crossroad can be dynamically varied between 10 and 30 km/h. For the pedestrians corresponding luminous modules are installed before the pedestrian's crossing. If one steps on the module surface, it will indicate with the green lights the free way for the pedestrian. The cyclists orientate with the luminous modules just like the drivers. By existing cycle path smaller modules are installed.
As an enlarged solution of this concept only white light can be used instead of colours red and green in the luminous modules. The innovation of the system is thereby strengthened and a new trend is given for the development of the traffic technology.
This video had so many hazards it was unreal people nearly getting run over cars almost crashing wtf lol

I see a lot of accidents coming.
More importantly, when (not if) accidents do happend, if wont be easy to see who was at fault.
works fine if cars had automatic drive or robot drivers (hehe), but as long as we are humans, this won't work at all.

this system has too many flaws but was a good try tho...

although it wont work... this requires people to abide by the speed limits, and the majority of people do not.
