Go to www.humdingerwind.com to follow the development of the Windbelt, a patented nonturbine wind harvesting technology.

This video shows a 1-meter Windbelt system (also known as a Windcell) operating in Hong Kong. The "slow motion" appearance of the membrane is due to temporal aliasing, a effect caused by the limited frame rate of the video camera. The membrane is moving at 38 Hz.

  • Just bought a Windcell kit from seeedstudio. I cannot wait to try this out.

  • I think those types of energy are the best. Please continue with these projects, nearly people will begin to think in green! :)
