Movie Review -- When A Man Loves A Woman

In this movie review, I talk about the movie "When A Man Loves A Woman." This movie stars Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan and is a more "Adult" movie that talks about alcholism, recovery from alcholism and the interaction between an alcholic and her family. Mae Whitman and Tina Majorino play the daughters of Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan's characters in this movie. The hardest part of the movie to watch, (in my estimation) is where Meg Ryan's character gets really intoxicated, slaps her daughter, (that is played by Tina Majorino) then Meg Ryan's character takes a shower, all while extremely intoxicated. While taking the shower, Meg Ryan's character loses her balance then falls through the glass shower door, seriously injuring herself and subsequently passing out.. Tina's character hears the accident, runs in to the bathroom, finds her mom (Meg Ryan) passed out on the floor, then Tina's character calls her step-dad, (Andy Garcia's character) and 911. What happens after this incident is about Meg Ryan's character going through the recovery process and AA.
