This trailer was the world's first look at Metroid Prime during the E3 event in Los Angeles in 2001. After a short intro sequence of Samus artwork, brief in-game visuals of an early 3D Samus, her gunship and hordes of beetles can be seen.

  • my my, the game has changed tremendously since then XD

  • @LetsPlayNintendoITA I agree.

  • the music from super was awesome

  • so it looks like this was orginally conceptualized in 3rd person?

  • Metroid Prime is my very video game of all time. For the time of release, the graphics were freaking amazing. They are still pretty awesome compared to today, but it was revolutionary back then. Prime was supposed to be in 3rd person, but was later scrapped and converted into 1st person. Many changes were made, but it was all for the better.

  • Freeze at 0:30 you will see the Baby Metroid Sprite from SM
