She is quite beautiful. If you would like see her perfoming on Youtube, type her name 久保田早紀 (Kubota, Saki) and the title of this song is 異邦人 (Ihoujin).
Since there was some interest written by non-Japanese people, I just did quick translation as stated below (it did not fit in one comment space.) I loved listening to this song as a child. According to some information that is available online, Ms. Kubota retired as a pop musician in 1984 when she got married. During recent years, she has released some Christian music CDs under her real name Sayuri Kume.
(The Translation) Children open their arms towards the sky, as if they were trying to reach the birds, the clouds, and their dreams. They remind me of who I used to be until yesterday, a person who did not know anything believing that my fingers could reach you.
The sky and the earth become one afar There is a passage that invites travelers from the past.
For you, I am just a passerby, whom you turned around to see because I am a foreigner.

メロディーもそれにあうように哀愁漂ってる。
良いものは時代を超えても良いよね。
Lyrics, composed, and performed by Saki Kubota
Arranged by Mitsuo Hagita
Released in 1979
Children open their arms towards the sky,
as if they were trying to reach
the birds, the clouds, and their dreams.
They remind me of who I used to be until yesterday,
a person who did not know anything
believing that my fingers could reach you.
The sky and the earth become one afar
There is a passage that invites travelers from the past.
For you, I am just a passerby,
whom you turned around to see
because I am a foreigner.
A wave of people on the way to a market
that I am blending in, and wonder around
on the stone pavement at a corner of this town.
The voices of prayer, the footsteps of horses,
The sound of crowd, as if they were all singing,
The morning light leaves me behind.
The traveling with the time heals wounded hearts
on this road of wonders.
The letter that simply says, "Goodbye",
which I wrote after some thinking.
And now, there is this foreigner
who is filled with loneliness.
And now, there is this foreigner
who is filled with loneliness.
