how much hp on motor with those mods?
-
Yes. You can also help that along by requesting various LSA's on the cam. Mine came with 112 LSA but you can order it with a wider one if you want less lope, more Low end torque. It was a great cam both on and off the spray.

One question....Does that cam still put out fairly good torque in the lower range and from a stop with out "getting on it"

Ok thanks

I have 101,000 miiles on my 96 LT1 camaro. Do you think if i get an Edelbrock LT4 top end kit($2800= CAM,INTAKE MANIFOLD,GASKETS,CNC MACHINE HEADS AND THROTTLE BODY). Would damage the bottom end really quick...i dont plan on racing it often.

No. With good oil (Brad Penn) and good filter (WIX 51060) in conjunction with the new valve seals you'll have on the new heads, I'd say you'll be fine. Just be sure to torque the heads to spec with a good quality torque wrench using new ARP bolts (you can't reuse the stock 'torque to yield' head bolts. They're a one-time use item). Be sure to get the ARP bolt lube and use Teflon paste sealer on the threads. Lastly, get some thread chasers and spin them thru each head/intake bolt hole for cleanin

I have the 224/236 cam also. It is on a 114 thou. I have .605/ .622 lift on it. It is for a supercharged car. I put all new comp valve train with afr hydra rev kit and it seems to be making a lot of valve train noise. I was wondering if yours is doing the same. Thanks,
Waylon

These motors just seem to make a lot of valve train noise. I can't tell you how many times I've been under the hood readjusting the valves because I thought they were noisy. But they always check out fine and still clatter when I start it up afterwards. Man, that's a high lift cam you got there. I'm Turbo now (single T76) running 12psi. I dyno'd it a couple of weeks ago on a DynaPack Dyno(said by some to be pessimistic) and the untouched mail order tune netted me 571/574 Rear Wheel TQ/HP.

How does this cam compare to the Hotcam you had in it?
FullThrottleFirebird 3 years ago
The Best Hotcam equipp'd pass on motor was 12.2x at 111mph using the TH350 w/2800 stall vigilante, stock 3.42 gears. Best NA pass on the 224/236 cam was a botched one and it STILL ran 12.0.
