Lex & Dawn; A Smallville/Buffy Crossover

This is my first attempt at vidding, be gentle. ^_^

This is an AU video. For the basic facts, the social worker, in the episode "Gone" of Buffy did not see fit to leave Dawn in Buffy's custody, thus she was sent to live with her father, Hank Summers, who then moved from L.A. to Smallville where he was working for Lionel Luthor. This is where Dawn met Lex. The only adjustment to the Smallville story line is that Lex was not married to Dr. Bryce but still in a relationship with her, also before his relationship with Dr. Bryce, Lex had dated Chloe(Something you need to know for the video). Prior to this video Lex and Dawn have been friends for a while, helping each other work through some of their problems which has brought them close and started them on a new path to explore the deeper feelings they have for each other in their budding relationship.

The video starts with them at the club. Lex thinking about time on the island, almost getting lost in it until Dawn notices him from the dance floor and makes her way to him and they talk for a bit before getting all mushy. Then they part ways because he has some business to attend to.

The scene shifts to the next day Dawn coming home from a hard day after school, not being too happy, only to be greeted by Lex in an enthuastic manner, him having gotten into her house. He leaves and she's pretty peppy for the rest of the evening, dancing around in a good mood. Though Lex at work finds out one of the people affected by the metors they had caught has escaped, vowing revenge on him. Worried for Dawn's safety Lex rushes to her house to make sure she's alright, screaming for her as he bursts in which scares her; turns out Dawn's just fine, having been fixing herself a snack which she shares with Lex.

Another scene shift to another day, Dawn in thinking about their relationship and goes to see Lex later that day after her classes are over, to let him know her sister is coming to visit and that she wants him to meet her. Then it shifts to later in the day to where Dawn is telling Buffy how much Lex means to her and more about him, then she sees Lex across the grounds at the fair and she catches his eye as well.

Scene shift again to that night Dawn (Yes I know it's really Buffy but work with me here, suspend your disbelief, as the Smallville graveyards are much safer than the ones in Sunnydale), is walking through the graveyard to meet Lex and go out. Then Lex leaves his office and meets up with Dawn for a romantic walk at night.
Scene shift to the next night now, Dawn is home alone, the kryptonite affected person Lex had feared would attack Dawn two days ago is now taking their chance to attack while she's alone. Though she isn't some weak little girl, Dawn has several tricks up her sleeves as well, she uses the magic that Willow taught her to keep the invisible fiend at bay, but not before taking a beating by it and having her house destroyed.

Dawn ends up in the hospital from her ordeal, Lex visits her, feeling guilty for her being hurt so badly, he can't control his tears. After Dawn's home she talks to her father about what happened in the house that night, though he doesn't believe her, which brings her to tears. She goes to see Lex later that day, needing some reassurance, which he gives her, letting her know things are going to be okay, though he leaves quickly for a meeting.

Scene skip to another day, Dawn is going to meet Lex but as she's leaving she sees him with Chloe. After all the recent trama she's been through she's not ready to handle this, or make a scene, so she leaves, heading home in tears. She tells her father, who then goes to confront Lex on his daughters behalf. He leaves Lex upset and thinking about his feelings for Dawn, because he really does care for her, he asks Mr. Summers to have Dawn come talk to him & he agrees.

Scene shift to the next day, Lex has a drink as Dawn is coming over to talk to him, he's pretty nervous about it, because he has something planned. Dawn tries to explain as soon as she sees him what was going on, all the feelings and the hurt and she comes up stammering. Lex just reassures her it's alright, he doesn't want Chloe, or any other girl for that matter, just her. Lex pulls her into a hug and holds her close then kisses her. Next comes his big surprise, he pulls the ring from his pocket, the big moment, will she say yes? Dawn just leans in and gives him a kiss as her answer. (Yes if I have to spell it out for you.)

Whew! Long explaination of the video but there you go, the gist of it, the story behind the making of it. ^_^ And the pic at the end is my own Photo manip. Hope you like the video.
