The g35's blaze through the snow but if you dont get the awd version (g35x) then they suck in snow.

Yeah i live in canada to i live in kamloops and we ten to some times get lots of snow or only like a couple inchs like right now we only have like 2 inches and the roads are bear they keep it pretty clear out here theres about 4 G35 coupes around. But As I've read the messages there pretty crapy in the snow eh. Just put weight in the trunk and studs and good winter tires i think it would be good ??

I understand this is a reply to an old post, but I ran my Ford Mustang through an entire "bad" winter in Toronto, and managed just fine. Just make sure if you get a G35 Coupe, that you get a manual because an auto will get you stuck in the snow. Buy a good set of snow tires, and keep the car in a low gear like 2nd or 3rd when driving through snow. That way the tires keep spinning and you atleast have some control. Using high gears will bog you down(contrary to popular belief).

Since the G35 coupe is, unfortunately, a RWD only car, I'd go with Goodyear GW3s. I used them on my Mustang V6 5speed with no issues. And I live in Rochester, NY, and never had a problem chewing through snow with an unloaded trunk. For the record, I only have traction control which is shit on the Ford Mustang. Nothing fancy. They are by far the best snow tires you can get on a RWD car, and will last atleast 2 years if you keep them on year-round. Blizzaks are for FWD or AWD/4WD cars.

i will be getting a 09 g37s, but it will be a third car. so no winter driving necessary

I would definitely put in the extra dough and get the AWD version. The G35 is great and is a blast to drive in the summer, but as soon as snow hits it becomes an ice skate. So if you decide to go with a RWD one, just be ready to go really snow come winter.
as far as fuel economy, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. i was averaging 17/18 in the city. i could have probably gotten better results if i really wanted to.
good luck with the purchase!!
Nice G man. Don't they come with traction control and stability control? Shouldn't that make snow driving easier?

Thanks man!! They do come with traction control but it doesn't help too much. sometimes i liked to turn it off just to have fun. =]
if you are going to get a g35 definitely keep on the traction control and get a good set of dedicated snow tires.

hey there. the g35's are okay in light snow. anything over a few inches and it's going to stay put. if you live in a city that plows quickly then go for it. if you live in more of a rural area i would consider something else.
the video i took was with bridgestone blizzak's - pretty good snow tires. obviously i was trying to get some spin on them, but daily driving isn't too far off from that.
