Hi there this is the completed version I built for my son. The shell and the LED ciruit board I purchased online and installed myself. The added LEDS required some soldering but was pretty easy and took me little over an hour to complete the changeover from the old shell. The LED,s do have a small drawback being the console will act up when the battery is low and the regular inicator does not detect it, therefor the lights staying on after the console is shut down appears now to be the low battery indicator lol.
Anyhow thought I would share the experience with the many !

  • @timmoy2 Hi there I appreciate the rating :) Have you actually attempted to solder the led circuit board on yet m8 and did you get a guide with it, I would be glad to guide you in the right direction or add a small directional guide for you, please give me more details on what you are stuck on and I shall assist...many thanx again

  • thanks for your help so my question is i want to know where i have to solder the 2 wires before i buy a cover with that leds can you may give me your e mail adress and i post you and ds lite motherboard picture and your post it me back with the 2 places marked where i have to solder the wires.

  • Hiya I have the schematic if you want me to mail it to you just supply me with an email, there are 2 wires to be soldered to the main board. 1 on each side 1 is a bit tricky as one of them needs to be soldered to pin 1 of a surface mounted chip and magnification is advised, also the led board needs to be soldered to the back of the screen to provide a ground. The ds unfortunatley has to be stripped down to its bare insides hehe
