Hey dont worry, im not complaining. Im very thankful for you taking your time to make a vid and post it up here to help others. My mate is a soldering whizz. Ill take board round to his.
Thanks again. Since I mailed you I now have all the bits. Microswitches and new battery that I would never have thought of if you hadnt mentioned in your vid.
Bought 8 cans of switch cleaner to make sure I have enough along with 12 cans of compressed air. Only want to do this once in a decade thanks :]

Great informative video! Thanks!
My buttons also are a little non-responsive after 15 years. (Bought it new in '94)
Great machine! Good video!

my jd800 is making an irritating buzzing noise after every note is played...what do you suggest I do?

Is it from the keybed? If so, I would order the replacement from Roland. If it's from the output I'm not sure as I haven't run into that issue.

Hi there.
Great informative vid. I have no working cursor buttons on my JD800 and that's to this vid now have a solution.
Only thing is, you seem to skip the part where you replace the microswitches. How do you replace them? Do they just clip into the circuit board?

They are soldered onto the circuit board so you have to desolder them and then solder the new ones in. I used a desoldering bulb and iron to remove the old ones. I should have included a pic of those.
