Community Forum on Prisons, the Drug War and African Resistance - 4 / 6

Like African communities all over the US, black people in St. Petersburg face the ravages of gentrification, joblessness and the brutal Jim Crow policy of police containment that results in police murders, heavy-handed policing and the targeting of young black men for the prison system.

Hear the words of those who experience the US police state first hand every day. Find out what we can do from the white community to help transform this brutal reality.

Featured speakers include Chairman of the African Socialist International Omali Yeshitela, InPDUM President Diop Olugbala and Mwamba Yeshitela of the African Resistance Campaign.

This forum took place at the International Conference of White Solidarity with Black Power held in St. Petersburg, Florida January 9-11, 2011.
