From right before taping of Dick Clark's New Years Eve 1994. Looks like they weren't getting along.

  • If it wasn't for Paul, KISS would have died around 1985. I can understand why he'd get pissed off with Gene's attitude... Paul put way more work into KISS than Gene EVER did. Paul is the king of the KISS castle and every fan knows it.

  • this is absolutely hilarious. gene hates it when his aurora is challenged in anyway

  • I love these guys!

Fantastic musicians, changed the way of performing on stage.

But when giving interviews say nothing to pay!

Only "we love the fans, we live for the fans, the fans are everything to us, we rely on fans' ...

  • @TheTN24 breaking even by the Revenge tour. Gene and Paul...while more or less well off financially had avoided actually dipping into their own pockets to support the band. By the reunion tour they had a choice. Keep the band going out of their own pockets in which they would have gone broke or put the makeup back on. Gene and Paul have reaped the rewards many times over, both are more financially sound now that they were at the high point of Kiss in the 70's. Always remember, it's a business.

  • Actually Kiss was never really swindled other than bad investments that went belly up. However what most people don't understand is, the bigger a band gets the more it costs to operate financially. As the bands popularity starts dropping suddenly that payroll that supports 50-200 people...managers, PR, merchandising, crew, massive stage productions among other things gets infinitely smaller. Bands have a choice at that point, break up or keep fighting. Kiss the band, the business was barely...

  • @winter9020 Again, it's never mentioned by Paul or Gene, but they were SWINDLED big time. Some of that book is bullshit. Aucoin was gone by 81 and the only affairs he managed were anything HE had to do with the band. He did not handle anything to do with KISS themselves, but they always referred to him as part of the KISS family. Most of what you hear about KISS is bullshit. I LOVE the music and always will, but that is where my love for them ends.

  • @romeokid69 are you sure? do you mean Bill Aucoin? if you read CK LENDTS book KISS and SELL, you will find it very interesting that they struggled for money for a long time, evan after the 70,s, he handled a lot of their budget/finances, the KISS machine got so big it started to eat itself, (running costs) Ive been a fan for 27 years and consider myself pretty educated on them, but I will research what you stated, interesting, and yes, they are masters of bullshit, still love em but!!

  • By the way, let's clear the air on something. KISS nearly broke up during the Revenge tour. Paul and Gene were NOT talking, NOT getting along. What you all need to understand is that they are both fueled by their capitalist egos. But at least Paul is willing to actually live the spirit of rock and roll to fuel that ego. Gene, on the other hand is nothing more than a snake oil salesman.

  • @winter9020 You need to do your homework. It wasn't that they blew their fortune a long time ago. KISS had a manager from the early 80's to early 90's who swindled them out of millions of dollars. You never hear them talk about it because they are the masters of bullshit. But their former manager was quite the con-artist. Probably taught Bernie Madoff everrything he knows.

  • @Atreyufolife Ace is definitely the Jester!

  • @Boogeyman777 Gene is the bitch Ace is the Jester and Peter is the prince or something like that :D
