  • what is the precise name of this version of metal gear (with japanese voice) , i have one japanese version, but with english voice and japanese subtitle, I do not succeed to find japanese version with japanese voice + japanese subcode

  • Metal Gear Solid

The one with english voices is Metal Gear Solid: Integral.

  • is liquid ocelot and revolver ocelot different? i think they are

  • Liquid Snake and Revolver Ocelot are two different characters. Revolver Ocelot lost his right arm, as you can see in this vid, so after Liquid's death at the end of MGS1 he had Liquids arm transplanted to his body. Liquids spirit took over Ocelots body during MGS2, so he had Liquids arm removed again and replaced it with a mechanical arm.

  • However, he (Revolver Ocelot.) used nanomachines and psychotherapy on himself, so that he himself would think that he was still posessed by Liquid Snake and thus, becoming Liquid Ocelot. He did this in ordner to fool the Patriot AI.

And no, I didn't make this up.

  • @Omegatron666 ohhhh, thanks for clearing that up

  • @redagent21 No it doesn't. It means "Come". The Japanese doesn't really have a word for "draw".

Just because he says "Draw" in the English version, doesn't mean he does the same in every other language as well.

  • @DarkWhite1000 it means "draw"

  • what does そうだ and "koi" or whatever Ocelot says mean in 1:38?

  • @jonathano1989 Nah, that would have pushed it too far... or else Liquid Snake would be Rikido Suneeku

  • @lepolohuevo well maybe but i think it should have been spelled oserotto to be consistent with the way his name was spelled when he was introduced

  • @jonathano1989 Life is already an established english word. Back in the day, MGS was supposed to be a Japan-only game and therefore they did not pay specific attention to their direct english translation. So it's actually OceRot but if they kept the name that way, the players would have blamed it on poor translations. You'll also notice in the japanese version that when you're seen, the game doesn't go in "Alert" mode but in "Danger" mode. Most of the english in the original is a raw translation

  • lol it says ocerot, so in that case, shouldnt it say Rife also??

  • OMG,i can't stop laughing " livolver oceloto" "solido snakeuuuuu"

  • Metal Gear Solid should always be played in Original Japanese!

    Thanks HannesHansen!
