@99g07p Um, no, the Z would pull on the top end. The poster of the video even says that. The gti doesn't have a wider powerband, it's actually the Z that pulls strongly from 2000 to 7000, where a gti is done before 6K.

both awesome cars, i have a gti but i dont say its the best even if it was i wouldnt tell everyone because then everyone would want/have your car and wheres the fun in everyone having the same thing, what would we argue about

The guy in the Nissan doesnt know how to drive/race his car. He is always looking at the RPMs to know when to shift. He needs to learn how to just listen and feel when the car wants the next gear. And he looks like a dumb ass the way that he is shifting gears...lol.

The GTI would have won, it has a wider power band. I have a MKVI GTI with APR stage 2+ tune. Full RSC 3" exhaust from turbo back. Diesel geek SSK and twintercooler. My GTI has taken each 350z that I have raced so far. But I know my car isnt the fastest thing on the planet. I am thinking about going to APR stage 3+ during the summer. Lets see how that turns out. I cant wait for more power lol.
