@ahlefezzy77 Judge with righteous judgment, is what Jesus said. Christians must judge what people say, especially those who claim to speak for God.

You are a false teacher. You should read your bible.

@MattDiClemente Yours is a point so well made. I have never been a fan of Wayne Dyer except when decent people have been abused by fanatical abusive Church teachings. I consider SOME of Dyer's teachings very helpful to distraught, sorrowful, hurt, lonely & abused people who desperately need a boost that the church has not given them. Once my patients are on their feet a bit & feel a little better about themselves perhaps they can see that the reality of Jesus is wise, powerful & healing.

"Therefore I say, whatever you ask for when you pray, believe that you receive, and you will have,,." The only way to spin this verse into a blank check is to ignore context. Remember, the issue & issuer is identified in verse 22: "faith in God." I cannot use verse 24 for anything that would not harmonize with faith in God. Using prayer to get anything I want doesn't harmonize with faith in God . Within the realm of faith in God /dependence upon His will, prayer is effective & yields results.

Whether certain of Marilyn Hickey's doctrines are questionable (and consider: it is almost certain that two christian adherent chosen at random would disagree on some point of doctrine) the faith she teaches is not in its essentials. There is no need to tear down the faith of others. I for one, would not like to find out what "being thrown into the sea with a millstone round my neck" could be better than (See Matthew 18:6)

This comparison doesn't make sense. When a comparison is just people of sense will take it into consideration. In this case, it has only been made to be inflamitory. Whether or not Marilyn Hickey's doctrine needs adjusting, this comparison only seeks to discredit her personally, not open a discussion on the issue the host has with the doctrine. This is a shame, because Marilyne Hickey has done so much to bring people to Jesus.

This clip is over 20 years old if I am correct. Furthermore, this is one 30 second soundbyte of decades of teaching, taken out of context. If you did ever listen to a lot of Marilyn Hickey, you would find out that she is nothing like Wayne Dyer. She is a Christian while Wayne Dier is not. She teaches the Bible, he does not. She teaches from an established religious movement (pentecostalism) , while he draws from whatever currents of thought he choses to emphasize his teaching.
You are totally missing the point. You are like the orange metaphore Dyer Talks about "only what is inside, can come out."

If I and Mr. Friel are missing the point, then what is the point?
