@geoasher023 ok so the question is really how can I convert without having to pay thousands or making a foolish show of myself in front of a bunch of insular racist snobs? Even though I understand the communal aspects I do feel that it would be "better" to go into a community as a convert than as one seeking to convert. I did visit those sites and sent an email but got no reply...

wouldn't this be a different version of replacement theology, where those who observe the ethical guidelines of Judaism get to claim its full identity? I sincerely wish you would address the two-pronged existence presented in scriptures. That of natural and spiritual. I really really appreciate your posts btw.

mi papi me dice que no se puede tapar el sol con un dedo. Blood matters to the Almighty. Why the rules about identity found in torah? What about the promises that were for Abraham that would be fulfilled in his seed? It is impossible to ignore that even in the prophets Israel is regarded as one as if one person but referring to the entire nation. It is ironic that Judaism is criticized for being a religion of works. It seems to be more about "being" than "doing."

In Christianity, different sects and priests, bishops etc. have very different views, too. In what way is that deceiving??
