"How can you say your life is empty.....So late in the daayyy...Why would you stay another second...." This is from The O.C. S03E17 episode entitled The Journey. Here, Marissa who hasn't eaten all day and is mourning her recent break-up with Ryan is talking to Volchok. Suddenly, she remembers that the house she's standing in is the same model home that she burned down with Ryan and Seth back in season one. Vivid memories wash over her, as Ryan listens to the model house mix CD that Marissa had made for him a few years ago. But he is ready to move on, while Marissa falls....

@st3ak007 That's because Gossip Girl and 90210 and the like are on the CW. The O.C. was on Fox, which has much higher requirements for ratings. I'm glad they stopped it there, in fact I wish they had stopped it earlier - don't get me wrong, I don't love any show more than I love the O.C., but there is no O.C. without Marissa. Seeing Ryan and Taylor together and seeing everyone move on while Marissa was left behind was heartbreaking... well, unless you're a Ryan/Taylor fan. Ryan&Marissa forever!

i kind of feel nostalgic at this too... i used to be totally into this show when I was in middle school. now, this isn't really my sort of show at all, but I heard a song or I saw a clip on here once that reminded me of this show so I went back and watched an episode and realized how much I had changed since my obsession with the OC. no matter how much I re-watch it i can't really bring back the same feelings I had for it, but they definitely bring back *a* feeling..
