Artie Shaw Clarinet Concerto

Thank you =) I did not take lessons, just played a lot and I am an Material Science and Engineering major but I do still play all the time

hey... for the all american band, did you have to play the whole thing, or only a portion? and did you have to do all three types of minor scales?

No. You need like 2 minutes of clips from concertos or solos. I used the first 2 minutes of this. And I didn't have to do scales =)

Everybody who was in all-american has been in all-state and generally first chair.

You sound amazing. Im a sophmore in high school and I play trumpet but I would like to learn clarinet. I want to find good players so I will be able to know what a great clarinet sound is. This is one of the bests Ive heard

You have a beautiful sound on the clarinet; there is something magical about the clear and haunting sound which you produce; this is indeed quite an accomplishment for a high school student.
