The reason is that the drums are much larger. 3000 rpm with a small-diameter drum is not very much compared with the large drums of a Navitronic that spins at 1800 rpm!

There are spin dryers that go over 3000 rpm. I wonder why they can't make a washing machine that spins over 3000 rpm.
