Same layout but with most of the rock work done and finally colored. Coloring was easy....a spray bottle for each color mixed with some water. Just push the trigger and watch! I am going for an old west feel and really liked how the rocks turned out in the end. You may notice I redid the mountain on the right side of the layout, and the bridges are new and custom built by my friend Dave (dstockwell169@roadrunner.com). The buildings are all hand built form kits.

I am always happy to answer questions to help you create your model train empire too!

  • Is that the "great stuff" spray foam on there, or?

  • Hey,

No, actually it is hyrdocal plaster that was shaped with rock molds. If you look back to some of the earlier videos, I think I explain more about how they were made.

    Thanks,

    John
