  • If you can have your thumb on the back of the neck and finger one secured on string 1 fret 2, you can stretch them on and off. Also, I try to put fingers 2, 3, and 4 down and push them around in-between the 1st and 2nd fret until they settle into the position.

  • although you will get away with playing it as you have done.. for optimum sound you need to barre the 2nd fret from the 5th string (A)..

  • I had the same problem. Most likely problem is you haven't been playing long and your fingers aren't used to being in a tight space. In time they'll become more nimble, just practice other chords for now and stretch your fingers from time to time.
