  • a minuite in and i already had goosebumps

this is seriously, amazing X 1000000000 XD

  • wow amazing!

  • Very good contrast between the woodwinds and the brass. I like how balanced it is.

Great show. They're good because they have quality practice and a long time to practice-- not because they're Asian.

  • @Inspadave

I disagree, he sounded like he was losing control.

Sixteenth note vibrato is just about never used on saxophone, or any instrument really. It's just too much. Triplet or eighth note would sound a lot better.

  • @LDBellFan I think he was firmly in control. He took it right to the edge without going over. As for too much vibrato I did not know that you should not do "16th note" vibrato ona sax. You should consider that they are playing tango music. A lush solo on top of an emotionless background is idiomatically correct.

  • @Inspadave

He sounded like he was going to lose control of it any second. It sounded like he got lucky and didn't squeak at all. On top of that, it's sixteenth note vibrato, which shouldn't be done on Saxophone.

  • @LDBellFan Sax soloist not good? Are you high? That kid nailed it.

  • @HooverDrumMajor You got it right. There is not a lot of time to get set up, play, and exit. So many groups are scheduled to perform that the mad rush on/off is the only way to get them all through. I marched, and now teach over here, and one of the things we start working on around contest time is getting on/off the floor.
