Scenes from the 2009 Christmas Parade in Port Orange, Florida, encountered December 6 during my ride along with the float from Central Baptist Church of Daytona Beach. After viewing the Dunlawton Avenue parade route from space, check out the parade preparation as the float is decorated. Then it is on to the staging area at Countryside. I was unable to film Central's float in action during the parade, but their theme was "Jesus, God's Gift to the World". Various other floats and parade groups are seen from a distance, including a group of several horses and riders. Away we go as we reach the official start of the parade and wave to the crowds of people from Port Orange and elsewhere that have gathered. The float is announced by the parade officials, and filmed by the city's TV crew.

The "I want some peace..." song is from the recording of "Silent Night" by the amazing Marcella Detroit. She has several Christmas tunes free for the listening in the news archives on her website. (I can't post the URL here, but it is in the credits at the end of the video.)
