En début de nuit, un incendie a détruit un bâtiment commercial, le Tommy & Lefebvre, du 464 rue Bank à Ottawa.
Plusieurs appels sont entrés au 911 vers 00h45 pour de la fumée apparente. Une fois arrivé sur les lieux, les pompiers ont vite constaté que le bâtiment complet était la proie des flammes. Plusieurs commerces adjacents ont été endommages. Plus de 50 pompiers ont répondu à l'appel. Cinq alarmes ont été sonnées.

Thank you for this. I too live out of town and appreciate seeing this photo b/c it represents an Ottawa landmark and b/c my brother is a firefighter in the city. (He was on another call.)

One of Ottawa's great landmarks, up in smoke. T&L has been (and despite this incident, will always be) an integral part of the community since I can remember, and I spent many years working there In my youth. Very sad sight.
