This is a video of my HL500 Aberg Replica, I was going to buy a frame kit from GMC ( Geof morris COncepts ) and this bike came available, Whne I first seen it I thought I was in a dream, then when I bought it for $500, I thought this is a dream come true.My buddies thought I had fell and hit my head, they couldnt believe i was paying $500 for the P.O.S. that was setting in front of them. The bike was in really bad shape, spent a few months researching everything about the HL500 while I was getting some frame work done. I had to cut the swing arm bolt out, it was froze solid, new bearings, had to build new tank mounts, ( someone had removed the original ) then sent the bike off for powder coat. Then spent about 5 or 6 months collecting all the stuff to build the bike like the RJ bike.

Sure has been a blast, will post up some more vid of it in action one day.

  • I read in a forum somewhere about that engine/ builder, ,,,,definitely a rare bird,,,, with that being said, what are you planning on doing with the bike / engine combination? I have a 540 kit in my bike and another complete built motor on the shelf and now wish I just had the stock motor back,,,, I myself don't ride the bike near to the potential that is has,,, thus the stock motor being easier to start and maintain,,, which leads me back to the question I just asked,,, what are you going to

  • nice video and great talk though too. do you have a site where we can see the motor tear down and what you have done during the rebulids?

  • @thegenrl Sorry, I dont,,, I sent the motor out and had it done,

  • great looking bike.. Looks better than the modern bikes out..

  • Twin chamber forks and Ohlins shocks. I'd ride it like I was mad at it.

  • @cblyx6 Do you know or heard a company called "Hy-Per Kinetics"? I am going to buy an SR with a "Hy-Per" 650 stroker engine. Comes w/a '77 TT that has the stock SR engine in it. $1,300 for both. Very dirty bikes. Sat for years. Both need some maintainance work. Sound like a good deal? Super Hunky says the 650 has a run hot reputation. Anyone know about Hy-Per Kinetics? When I get these bikes, the '77 will be my 3rd. '77 TT. daviddaveinternational@gmail.com
