the one thing i remember about this night is one of the dancers being sucked into the speaker!! i was trippin on double dip penguins!! and a wrap lol

Smashed it from 90 to 94 and was a regular at the institute every friday, i loved it down there and new everyone but not there names...lol . It got really moody from the end of 94 so i sacked it and eventually got old. I have fond memories of the scene but i suppose i grew out of it in the end, Just latley though i realise i was a part of a big movement in the British music scene, i wish i had a time machine to take me back there sometimes......And maybe freeze me time!

What brilliant days, Institute is still one of my favourite venues ever. Scene got really dark, although the music was extremely complicated and well thought out, and in my mind technically brilliant, unfortunately the vibe amonst the crowd got lost somewhere. By 95, I was fed up and disillusioned. Ah, the days of 92-94

YES, I am Marc, the Promoter, and when we found out about the lad who was taxing outside, we sent the doormen out who collared him, slapped him round a few times, ragged him round the road a bit, enough to strip him naked and send him packing holding his bollox as he ran off up the road.. we look after our club.. and still do.. next gig in Brum 24th October at the warehouse. check face book and my space.. peace.
