since VH was a semi-guitar-hero band, the position of bassist was and still is relatively unimportant. And banging on a bass with a bunch of distortion and effects rather than actually playing the thing is just plain pathetic ... and he "got better"? would hate to hear what he sounded like before that !!!!

He MUST have been good for Eddie to bring him into VH! He learned how to play bass BEFORE VH...ever heard the recordings from 1976/77?? And he got better! What are you, another guy who likes Peter Tork better?? (again, sorry Peter!)

Mike should still be in VH, this is an excellent video. This bass solo essentially proved what he's capable of without the VH Sisters' leash strangling him.
Good for Mike, he's happy doing his thing with Sam, and I'm pumped for the project with Satch in the spring! Classy guy like him deserves the best he can get.

I was there, we drove 8hr from Montreal to see Sammy & The Wabos & Mickey for sure before going to see them at the B-Day Bash down in Cabo again for 3rd time in row, what a concert, they rock together, too bad EVH !!!
