News coverage of the damage from the Enterprise, AL tornado during the March 1, 2007 outbreak. Sadly, at least 18 people have lost their lives to this powerful tornado.
@CombatSportFan I was in the school that day, and I still think that the administrators did the right thing by holding us inside the school. We all know that if they had let us all leave that we would not have gone home. There would have been people still hanging out in the parking lots and people just driving around town. I think that if they did let us leave that there would have been a lot more than 8 people that died.
I was so angry after this. A tenth of an inch of snow would have gotten that school closed for the day, but a high risk of severe weather + a tornado watch...and they just let the kids go on like it's nothing. Needless and senseless losses of life that could have been prevented if people would start taking severe weather more seriously than they do now (ignorantly so considering all that we know now about life threatening weather.)
Naaa.... There's no climate change here... ROFLMAO
