this guy, Hady Mirza, is currently the reigning Asian Idol. he's from singapore and the one who has defeated Mau Marcelo(Philippines) and jaclyn Victor(Malaysia) in the said singing competition. some other Asian countries, especially Malaysia and Philippines, say that he is not deserving to be hailed as the winner because his two competitors that was mentioned above are more worthy of the crown. Especially if we're going to base on the fact that when the judges were asked who they thought would be the winner, Hady was not even a choice of the jury.
Some even formulated their own theories about his glory. They said that since people can vote two nominees, they voted their Idols for the first choice, of course, and gave the second choice to the contestants whom they think the weakest among the group. Many claimed that Hady was the least performer, so he got the most number of votes, though only as the Asian people's second choice. But still, he earned the highest percentage of votes putting Malaysia on the second spot, and India on the third rank. Philippines' Mau Marcelo, who was one of the strongest sweeping the floor with the Malaysian Idol was placed only on the fourth position.
But for me, either Mau, Jaclyn, or Hady deserves to be the first Asian Idol who will be representing Asia in the World Idol(though the plan for conducting such Idol search doesn't have assurance because there are rumors that Simon Cowell doesn't like the idea).
How about you? What do you think? Is he qualified to hold the title?
He's became successful singer nowadays because of his attitude so humble person & his gentle voice makes girls in our region (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia & Brunei) like him so much plus his good looking man. Btw He is pure Malay & Singaporean.

well i agree.
he's really talented and deserving of the title.
when i saw on the Asian Idol, he instantly became one of my idols bec. of his voice quality. sweet yet very manly, like that of erik santos'. so bad that philippines is very devoted to western music that he's having difficulties(not only him, also many asian countries) breaking in our nation.
