A solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device that uses solid-state memory to store persistent data. A SSD emulates a hard disk drive interface, thus easily replacing it in most applications.
it's a solid state disk, mainly a flash hard disk, so faster than a normal hard disk, of course it's better thab normal hard drives cause it has no moving parts, etter than sdhc because it's commonly more capable, but you can't remove it, but i don't think it's a big problem... of course it's still quite expansive..
@KingBelantan, I read it is 25 fps film mode and standard 30fps. Not sure if any 60 fps mode is offered. A similar model has 250 fps slow motion mode but only in low resolution and only has 8gb memory. @gibor4957, that may be true for action shots but you don't get the sensitive HDD with flash that can break with motion. Also, no sound from disk turning and it is more temperature resistant. On a tripod, careful hand held shots and flycams the flash will win due to no moving parts.
can u put a fisheye on it? please answer

Could be hackable to add larger SSD's, that would be nice to see, assuming the camera is any good to start with.

cool advantages on SSD! but HHD is better on videos. ( no woobling). SSD is great for music & photos.
