  • I might be mistaken but shouldn't he disconnect red air first then yellow after?

  • @nz828 I couldn't agree with you more than I do and wish to you, myself and all the driver's out there that nothing bad will happen to us;-)

  • @andrzejtrucker If your routine works for ok some people where I work follow your procedure.Even though my company provides a drivers handbook with the procedure in this video as the the way it should be carried out.The biggest problem is if someone distracts you while you are carrying out your routine that's when mistakes can happen. If you check twice then should be no problem though.

  • @nz828 I agree wih you but I always ucouple trailers the way I told you and never was even close to dropping trailer, main thing is to check everything twice before you pull away, don't you think?

  • @andrzejtrucker

Always safer to apply brake and wind legs down first .I have seen people forget legs and dropped trailer with your routine.

  • @nz828 but I didn't say that vid is wrong, I was just taught to do it kind of a walk around, I don't think is wrong, the way it's shown at the vid is wroght too;-)

  • @andrzejtrucker wrong procedure video is correct

  • the fellow whith which i've started work driving artic's taught me well how to do it, first suzzies, then legs, brake, number plate, fifth wheel and you're done:-)and when it comes to pulling from underneath the trailer, lower your suspension before pulling out completely!

  • Excellent video, shows how it shoould be done. Could I suggest fitting a coupling lock onto the trailer when it's parked to stop some toe-rag driving off with it?

  • Excellent,,
