"Min Orkizesai Vre Pseftra" performed live by Mavrothi Kontanis and the Maeandros Ensemble.
In this song, a jealous man (a common theme in Greek songs...) tells the woman he loves not to swear to him because he heard her making the same promises to someone else just the other day...even the color of her eyes seems to hint that she is telling lies!
Lefteris Bournias plays a beautiful clarinet solo in this performance.
The musicians:
Megan Gould ~ violin
Mavrothi Kontanis ~ oud & voice
Lefteris Bournias ~ clarinet
Timothy Quigley ~ percussion

Thank you! This song is not so clear cut with it's makam, but is like a mix of Huseyni and Beyati (probably more like Beyati makam).
Sometimes with folk/urban songs like this, the makam is not 100% cut and dry, but they are still great!
Thanks for listening!
