  • Thank you. What a marvellous video. It makes me want to go to Holmavik. Terrific history of superstitions. A very interesting country is this Iceland.

  • To anonbelial - Sigi is a great performer and folklorist. Sorry the "necropants" offended you. I take it you´re a specialist on 15-18th cent. Iceland? This is specifically written lore from the Westfjords of Iceland.

  • yeah that "Necropants" was offensive to say the least and the maker of that vid, with his holier than thou attitude, will most likely become the next pair of necropants worn by the Bull in the Black Earth! what a knownothing, jackass..:)

I laugh as the sizzle seems to drown out foolishness..Oh sorry, I hate when that attitude comes out of me..Everyone should just be happy they have their opinions in tact and their ass isn't on their shoulders.Love ya neighbor and blah,blah,blah...

  • witchcraft is just like shamanism!!!!!!!!!

look it up....even though people look at us like freaks.....

im shamanism....my uncle is a shaman and can use black or white magic and also go into the spirit world...but i dont know about elf and fairy world....

  • Very interesting thank you for posting this.

  • @Ju87s Well you could try to slice him up and grap the heart while its stil beating....i think XD

  • Why, it all seems to be very black magic.

  • how would one get drops of blood from the heart of a LIVING raven?

  • There are some books on the subject and as the person before me mentioned, most on rune magic...

One that has been translated into English is called Galdrabók..

I am an Icelander living abroad and have a copy of this book as it's nice to be able to show others a little of the old ways back home...

  • There are Grimoires in Iceland, most of them about rune magic. They sell some of these books at the Sorcery & Whitchcraft museum.
