Well, it's about freakin' time!

It has always been the desire of Christ, that the church prepare the saints (you and me) to do the work of the gospel. Teaching, training, encouraging, equipping us while God perfects us unto his own glory and honor. I'm so overwhelmed by this video.

It's funny how the "church" today looks very little like the Church that we read about in the book of Acts and the rest of the N.T. It's great to hear messages like this and see books like "Radical" by David Platt and "Steeple Envy" by Vic Cuccia, challenging the church in a much needed way.

If Jesus is not present, it's not a church.

(Where 2 or 3 are gathered IN MY NAME, there I am in the midst of them.)

Gathering at an event -e.g sport event (even though many Christians may be present) don't make it a church. The purpose is to worship Him, sit at His feet and allow yourself to be fed and your feet to be washed.

Traditional churches have too much tradition and formality. Megachurches on the other hand have too much entertainment.

I think also one real problem in the church is when Christians discourage other Christians from fellowshiping with Christians from outside of their 'group'. Usually these groups will be run by one very strong willed man who seems to think his club is the only real church of Christ.

Great idea and biblical, but I just hope 'Simple Church' doesn't become an institutionalized denomination in itself and become the very thing it set out to avoid.

I love how they go on about how it's not the building or physical structure that matter's. Yet they also stress it's all about meeting in a "house" that's the biblical way. ?????? The Chirch also met in Solomons Portico which that time was a large structure and meeting area. LISTEN: There's nothing wrong with where we meet! It's why we meet! And what we do with it when we're not meeting (ie in the world)
