The one thing that bothers me is I hear a lot about "leaving" which means relationships are abandoned. Doesn't seem unifying but splintering. Just another attempt at "doing things the way I think they should be done." I recommend "Life Together" by Deitrich Bonhoeffer
I think the point is to develop stronger individual relationships so that we can come together on better ground. I left "the church" when I was 16 because of how poorly people acted, but that was no reason to abandon God! It's better to offer people quiet relationships with God than defective and negative relationships with the wrong people.
