  • This isn't customizing the QR code, you're adding decorations around the QR code image. Nothing more, truly customizing the QR code would be to actually alter the QR Image which you have not done here.

  • @wwinklerjr - When put as you have, you are correct. We are not altering the QR code, just adding some customization to make it unique and stand out. To alter the code would obviously change the result of the destination when scanned. This tutorial was created for those who merely wish to make their QR codes stand out, be unique, add some personality, and be rid of the standard black blobs you see all over the place. Maybe the title should be "How to add imagery to a QR Code?"

  • This is definitely NOT what I was looking for.

  • @jusbeau sorry to hear that. What exactly were you looking for?

  • Lame. You are not customizing anything.

  • @csoprych - according to the dictionary under the word "customizing" you stand corrected.

  • @bandersohn Possibly but you can still alter a QR code with imagery. Or by changing colors and still have the destination remain the same. I'm just now getting into TRULY customizing the look of a QR code but it is possible aside from putting text around the code itself.

But yes maybe the title should be changed to "Making your QR code stand out" because there is no customizing even the look of the QR code here. Just surround decor.

Look up embedding logos into QR codes for true customization.

  • @PetjaTouru - yes. you can also add text and images in the white space within the code to create a maze looking quest with some subliminal messages contained inside. This will inspire and motivate people even more to want to click on your QR Codes.

  • Is this some QR-customizing when I add text and few icons into image borders?

  • Thanks for the video it was a great help, keep up the good work bandersohn
