This is the first start after i installed my TRD supercharger and Doug Thorley Headers on my 4runner. Total install time was a stright 4 days, 3 of which was spent ont he headers and 2.5 of that spent ont he driver side manifold (both removing the stock one and installing the new one).

As you can tell it is running open headers here, i now have it welded and it purrs like a kitten. LOADS more power and I have not even installed the URD 7th injector kit yet!

  • how many hp?

  • @macdrinay At the time of this video, It had ~225rwhp. It is not making around ~250whp and I plan to go turbo and a lot more power before too long.

  • That is very nice!!!! How much is your whole set up? I would love to that on my 01 4runner. Thanks!

  • @neil070204 At the time of the video with the 7th injector and the used supercharger I had around $2500 in it but I got a very good deal on the supercharger. Normally you are looking at ~$4k for this setup new.

  • Were could I.get a supercharger like that on my 2001 4runner

  • @droccs12345 Ebay is a good place to start, Craigslist and places like yotatech and customtacos are some more.

  • Amazing. I want a 4.6 iFORCE for my 88 4runner, it would be a hell of a job getting it to fit though... so Id probably go with a 1uz-fe VVTi. lol

  • @silverdiaz7 water methanol injection, from what i read on super street, and old hot rod trick, perfected by japanese tuning companys, injects and mixture of water methanol injection, in the combustion chamber, the water evaporates, and soakes heat to keep the engine cool, and once atomized, the oxygen helps the hydrogen and methanol and fuel burn hotter, and since it takes up room in the combustion chamer, it boosts compresion for even MORE POWER! >:D

  • @silverdiaz7 why would u buy a v6 tundra then get an s/c. the 5.7 gets better mileage with much more power. u saved less money buying a v6 and buying an s/c than buying a 5.7 tundra. Sorry if i sound like a dick.
