Thinking ahead about changes I need to make to my diet. Not just cutting back on junk, but ADDING healthy meals to my life... which is the hard part for me! I need advise!
Well, according to davidivivid it is not entirely a myth! But no need to fight over it guys, I never liked celery and am certainly not gonna try and start a diet just based on that. :-)
I used to think it was just a myth as well but a friend of mine who works in the food business explained it to me.
Celery does contain energy but it is mostly stored in the form of cellulose, which basically is a complex form of sugar. However, the human body cannot metabolize this more complex form of sugar because it doesn't produce the enzymes required...So you do burn more calories digesting celery than you can absorb from it...
3-Use bolder and stronger flavors. For example, if you put mild cheddar on your salad, you will need to put more cheese to really taste it. Instead, use feta cheese : you'll put a lot less of it and it will still be very tasty. (and make your own dressing)
4- Transform food you like, pizza for instance. Take a tortilla on which you spread a mix of pesto with a little bit of bechamelle sauce. Add some brocolis and mushrooms and sprinkle everything with a little bit of swiss cheese and voila!
You must be confused. Google GI Flora or Intestinal Probiotic Balance. Without looking at the many other facets where the Master Cleanse is beneficial, let's look exclusively at this one.
Chris is killing "bad" microflora within his GI tract to allow for "good" microflora to grow and flourish.

Here's a few trips:
Snacks:
1- Fats are better than Sugars but Proteins are better than Fats.
2- Eat celery since you use more energy digesting it than you can absorb from it.
3- Drink water : you stay hydrated and it puts something in your stomack.
Diner:
1-Take your time when you eat because if you eat fast, you'll absorb excess food before your stomack can say "I'm full".
2- Prevent the temptation: if you are having spaghettis, don't put a plate of garlic bread on the table.
