With a demo on a distorted guitar you get the impression that whatever they are selling is cheap and shoddy and they are hiding that fact with noise - there is no way to tell how this sounds under all that garbage
-
@timjmoran People uploading videos with such tags as "guitar, electric, tone" should be REQUIRED to do a CLEAN demo.
-
Do you have to have it wired like this guys guitar where you lose the independant volume controls or can you have it set up so the neck tone control pushed in becomes the neck tonestyler and the bridge tone becomes the bridge tonestyler? That would be way more useful in my opinion
-
Is somebody rubbing their ass against the microphone the entire video?
I couldn't even watch it. That sound was annoying.
-
@timjmoran He does?

"uh yeah, so lets stop talking about this and let you hear it",
Me: YES YES YES!
"But let me start explaining how this works"
Me: NO! NO! NO! NO!
Just let the guitar do the talking- the circular conversation with yourself is not helping

Why do players put so on much echo (or reverb) when demoing guitars and effects. It is useless because you can't hear the true sound. You'd think "Guitar World" would know better. A waste of video.
-
you can take out the tone pot for more tone or just buy a glass guitar pick - no install necessary
Oh Yeah.. he can OBviously play .. BUT- I think the demo woulda been more successful, AND we would have heard more of what the Tonestyler actually sounded like, had he played w/ a CLEAN
guitar tone.
