One of my favorite versions too...Mahalia is really living the song, deep in the spirit, and it gives me goosepumps! I would also have love to be there, and was already loving her so much when I was 16, and unfortunately, she died this year! From Europe, I went to see the place where she is burried in New Orleans...Sad I never see her alive!

The purity of "The Mother of Gospel" just listen to the purity of this womans. It makes me feel as if I was in the presence of her performance. Lord!!!!!!! I wish I could have been present at the time. Mostly likely, I wasn't born yet. Needless to say, I was raised listening to the good "Old Time Religion."
