4 dislikes for this song? Everyone is entitled to their opinion. As for me, I love it!

@macvatu You only changed to Socialists when you realised that you were wrong about Communists, didn't you?!
-
@macvatu That has no relevance at all to what I said...I don't even what Upstairs and Downstairs is! And Socialists are alright they say the government should be in control (of things like airports, hospitals etc) but they won't stop anyone opposing them and having their own way unlike Communists who believe its their way or DEATH.

@Kill3rR0s3 . . . I used to love watching Upsatirs and Downstairs in the 60s and 70s, it reminded us of how they used to live centuries earlier, but I rather suspect the series were highly sanitised for our taste today. The series are back again and the themes are still the same - the disparities in lifestyle and the obvious class system that turned a blind eye to the exploitation of the poor and working class. Socialists worked tirelessly to bring about changes, and all credit to them, today.

Heard this song on the radio for the first time today... Can we say obsessed?
-
@chargertom He got most of it right but he failed when he said Communists stopped slavery.
-
@macvatu I'm sorry but the Communists had nothing to do with Slavery in the UK especially in the 'stopping it part'
-
When I was a child, KGMS would play this one from June to Labor Day. Thanks for posting, and for the memories!

@theDustAutumn...you ought to thank your lucky stars for the communists, or you'd still be in chains slaving away for the privileged few. Look up the 'feudal system' in your computer and see the workhouse conditions and the appalling ways the poor were treated then, and they were still at it up to the beginning of the last century. Slavery was rife in the UK as well as in the colonies. Socialism or communism were frowned upon, and still are - many sacrifice their lives to bring about changes.
