@oOShowjumperOo One of the biggest reasons racehorses need to be ponied is because they are taught one thing. To run. Not much in steering, and very little in 'whoa'. Couple that with the fact that these horses have a lot of energy and you have a possible disaster on your hands.

I have a 17.2 Thoroughbred off the track. I only let him "go" up hills so gravity can help me. It's my dream to be able to ride him flat out someday. My dream ride is the ride over the bridge in Seabiscuit. War Admiral is my horses Great Great Gradfather.
