Hello and welcome to the new video show for rejectedgamer.com called RG How To. This show will cover such things as how to manage data on your consoles, how to connect your console to the internet, how to earn specific achievements for certain games, unlock secrets for certain games, and so on.

In the first episode of the Rejected Gamer's how to series, our Nintendo news reporter MrB4 will show you how to manage your save data on your Wii.

In this video we will cover:

1. The different ways as to how memory is stored on the Wii.
2. The ups and downs of the SD Card channel, and how it is used.
3. The difference in the sizes of channel and save file data.
4. How to transfer data to an SD Card.
5. Downloading Wiiware and Virtual Console games.
6. Moving, transferring, replacing, and redownloading files that you have deleted or moved to a different memory source.
7. How much memory your Wii can hold compared to your SD Card

I hope this video helps you out when it comes to utilizing memory storage on the Wii.

If you have any questions, or suggestions, feel free to email me at mrb4@rejectedgamer.com

P.S.- In the Video I say that this is the Wii User's Guide series, but the name of the series was changed to how to after I finished this video. I also apologize for the fact that i actually did not buy a game from the Wii Shop channel at the time like i said i was going to do. I just wanted to show you how to do it more or less.

  • Whenever I Put My VC games On The Sd Card They Cant Be Played What Do You Think The Problem Is?

  • I have encountered this problem before also. If you upload them from the SD card menu, they should be playable. Usually, the major issue with most games not playing is that the amount of memory available on your system is not equivalent to the amount of memory required for the game to play. I would suggest moving one of your larger files from your WiI system memory to your sd card, and then trying to launch the game from the sd card menu.

  • @XBLR08 Thanks I will Try That ill Let You Know What Happens For Future Questions If Thats Ok With You.

  • Not a Problem at all, send me a email and let me know if you get the game to work or not.

  • the games dont work for nothing

  • I'm sorry to hear that, the only thing that I can tell you at this point is it is not working for one obvious reason that you may already know, there might be a problem internally with your Wii.

I would suggest talking to customer service at nintendo about it, because honestly, i have never experienced this problem before.

    Keep me posted.

  • i recently brought a new wii cos my old one broke, i transfered my games onto an sd card and now my new wii won't let me play those games. is there any way to be able to play them

  • Hey!

When i move my wii channels from the wii system memory to the SD card, i still keep the data and i understand that i can just hit the little SD card tab down the bottom to get to the channels/games.

but when i do move them from wii system memory to SD card, when i go back to the standard, home wii channel page, there are various spaces remaining between channels, the ones which i have moved to the SD card have gone but leave a vacant space inbetween two other channels.

    howcan i fix this?

  • Do you know if you can copy Wii game data onto the SD card??? Cause I'm trying to save a game data on it.

  • When i try to move or copy a game from save data to my 2 GB SD card it does not let me. the move and copy buttons are not lit up. it says if i click on it it says "This file can not be moved". Do you know what to do? PLEASE HELP.
