"Michael is slowing!" goes down as one most infamous lines in racing. Michael Andretti after setting a lap at 220 MPH his engine quits with no warning with less than 10 laps to go. Complete heartbreak for Michael Andretti as he was leading 10 laps to go. A terrible day for entire Andrettis clan. Al Unser, Jr. takes over the top spot with Scott Goodyear in second setting up the duel to the finish.

  • Oh no! I'm sure Michael heard it from Sandy when he got home. "You son of a bitch, you blew it again!", LOL. I hate to laugh about this, but was always a fan of the Unsers and not of the Andrettis, so I enjoyed this live and still get a kick out of it. It's sad the mess Al Jr. has made of his life, especially since, from his public image, he's the last guy you'd expect it of.

  • Marco couldn't even block for one straightaway They are not classy people and bad drivers.

  • What a race what a classic year at Indy. That sucks so bad for the Andrettis. I hope Marco can win someday.

  • It can be a fill in the blank game at this point:

    "The Andretti car has BLANK"

    1. Slowed

    2. Run out of gas

    3. Crashed

    4. Exploded

    5. Abducted by aliens

    6. Had major GPS failure and made a right turn somplace.

  • it kills me inside a little more everytime I watch a video of this.
