K04 Golf GTI MKV Boost fluctuation.

I have boost fluctuation and surging problem on WOT 3rd, 3th gear from 3000rpm- 4000 rpm.

@mfletcherg122 you don't have to hear a whistling sound to figure out there is a leak...!! , the best think u can do is to log the boost block 115 or 118 via vagcom . What mods u have ?

i too am having a surging issue with my mkv gti, did your car surge and kinda feel like wheel spinning? it is only happening when i really push the turbo, if i drive normally everything runs fine at all speeds.

@mfletcherg122 after I read about surging I figured out that I don't suffer from surging but its a boost fluctuation.

if you are suffering from a boost issues most of the time its because of the following :

- Bad DV (diverter valve)

- PCV malfunctioning

- Air leak in general

Surging is a different story , Surging occurs when there is delay in dumping the compressed air after you remove your leg of the accelerator ...

well it has only happened recently to me, my car is kinda doing what your boost guage shows. when i accelerate hard the boost seems to cut out and then the next second its back. i was going to pull the dv tonight after work to have a look and see if its damaged. there is no whisltling sound coming from the boost circuit. i was hoping to find something on the forums, but there is nothing really there that describes the same thing.
